ITINERARY

DAY 1 – SAIGON

Arrival to Sai Gon by your chosen flight. On arrival you will be met before immigration for the Diplomate Fast track service to speed your through immigration. Meet and greet with your English speaking guide and transfer to your hotel for check in.

Overnight in Sai Gon

DAY 2 – SAIGON – Market Walk and Cooking Class – AO Bamboo Acrobat Show

Breakfast at the hotel. 07:30am transfer to Tan Dinh market.

You will be met at the La Siesta Premium at around 7.30 am and transferred to the “local Market” to see the market in action and join is as you help your chef purchase some ingredients for your lunch. After the market visit you will be transferred to the Hoa Tuck cooking studio for your hands on cooking class. Make sure you watch every step closely as what you cook will be come your lunch !

Market visit from 7:50 am till 8:50am
Follow our Chef through the vibrant Tan Dinh market to purchase a selection of ingredients for your cooking lesson. At 9:50 am transfer to Hoa Tuc cooking studio.

Hands-on Cooking Class from 09am till 12:00pm
Take place around our large cooking station to follow our Chef step by step with your own material and ingredients for a good understanding of cooking techniques.
You will discover Vietnamese kitchenware to cook and enjoy a tasty 3 courses meal. MSG, Knorr powder and enhance flavors are of course forbidden!

Back to the hotel and free after your cooking class and then at leisure. At around 5.15 pm you will be collected for your transfer to the Saigon Opera House for the AO Show.

18:00 enjoy “A O” show (Vietnamese bamboo modern acrobat show)

Transfer to “Man Moi” restaurant for the dinner.

DAY 3 – SAIGON Travellers Hut Selections option either Vespa or Jeep Saigon sightseeing – Dinner at Tales By Chapter

After breakfast this morning you have an option to see the sights of Saigon…

Option 1: Jeep tour “Saigon in style”.

At around 8.30 you would be picked up by army Jeep from your hotel, we will drive by some must- see landmarks of Saigon. First, visit the Reunfication Palace – the former home and workplace of the President of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Then heading to FITO Museum to see its collection of 3,000 items of traditional tools and ancient documents, traces the development of traditional medicine in Vietnam. Continue the trip to the District 5 which is one among of the oldest parts of Saigon before dropping you off at your hotel.

Option 2 : Vespa tour “The Insider’s Saigon”

Experience the excitement of modern day Ho Chi Minh City riding pillion on our vintage Vespas. Get off the crowded tourist trail to visit some fascinating places and sites than you could never find on your own.

Starting the ride in the busy city streets to a Cafe in central Saigon where we enjoy the morning coffee with the bird lovers before visiting the famous and thought invoking Burning Monk Memorial Statue.

Our adventurous mix of historic landmarks and hidden treasures continues as we soak up the local culture at a fresh flower market and then a bright and vibrant fabric market. We zoom through Saigon traffic on the back of our comfortable Vespas to the captivating Chinese district, visiting a traditional medicine street with traditional medical herb shops, an ancient Buddhist temple and a hidden Chinese pagoda. Our final ride takes us into the heart of Saigon to see some classic city landmarks. Firstly, see the French architectural influences of the famous Saigon Post Office and beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral (outside only), before we end with a short history lesson outside the striking Independence Palace. Let our local guides show you their city, their Saigon.

After your jeep or Vespa tour you have free time at leisure.

At around 6 pm tonight you will be collected from the La Siesta Hotel and transferred to dinner at Tales By Chapter.

DAY 4 – SAIGON – The Travellers Hut Selections options either Cu Chi by speed boat or Vietnamese Coffee making class. Also for dinner you have the option of the CHAO music with dinner or dinner at Rose Villa (with supplement).

After breakfast you have two choices for your experiences today either a speed boat to Cu Chi Tunnels or a Vietnamese coffee making class.

Option 1: Half day Cu Chi speed boat tour (Join-in basis)

Travel to Cu Chi as a VIP on one of our modern speedboats arriving hours before the large tour groups.  Your English-speaking guide will explain the life along the banks of the Saigon River as your boat gracefully slaloms through the water hyacinths. After the scenic one-hour boat trip our guide will take you through the historic Cu Chi Tunnels.  A light breakfast will be served on the way to Cu Chi and a traditional Vietnamese lunch will be served after visiting the tunnels.  This tour is all-inclusive and hassle free.

After your morning activity you have the afternoon at leisure

In the evening you have another Travellers Hut Selection – A choice between the CHAOinstrument show with dinner or dinner at the Rose Villa.

Option 1: CHAO show with dinner included. The CHÀO Show is an immersive art program that honours Vietnamese music using 30 distinctive traditional instruments. The performance takes the audience on a journey through Vietnam’s regions, from north to south combining music, visuals, and storytelling to showcase the country’s cultural diversity. At the same time you will be served meals from the North, Centre and South of Vietnam. ​

Option2 : Dinner at Rose villa (with a supplement to pay). You will be collected from the hotel and transferred across the river to the Rose Villa in district 2 to for your meal. The Rose Villa can only be described as whimsical, ask Glenn for details.

DAY 5 – Leave SAIGON arrive at NINH VAN BAY or CON DAO

Check out and transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for flight to Cam Ranh or Con Dao

If you Select Ninh Van Bay – Arrival at Cam Ranh airport, transfer by road to the resort on the resort shuttle bus (without tour guide) to the wharf and then a 15 to 20 minutes speed boat to either An Lam or L’Alya resort for your check in for your 4 nights relaxation.

If you select Con Dao – Arrival at Con Dao airport, transfer by road to Six Senses Con Dao for your check in for your4 nights relaxation.

Con Dao is a stunning and historically rich archipelago off the Southern Coast of Vietnam. Con Dao amongst a group of 16 Islands, Con Dao Being the largest and only inhabited one. It is known for pristine beached, lush tropical forests, crystal-clear waters and fascinating history.

Breakfast at the hotel, then for those at Ninh Van Bay check out and transfer firstly by speed boat to the wharf then by resort’s shuttle bus to Cam Ranh airport for check in for the departure flight. Or if staying at Con Dao check out and transfer to Con Dao Airport
