Australians will soon need ETIAS to travel to countries in the EU. ETIAS will be operational from Some stage in 2026 – it will become a mandatory entry requirement for Australians visiting Europe.

Although the system is not live yet, Australian nationals should be prepared for the new travel permit.

ON-LINE ARRIVAL CARD

Europe is slowly implementing arrival procedures for each European country from 01 October 2025, there is no online for to fill in, only fingerprints and photos taken on arrival. However be mindful ETIAS that will involve a fee, will be implemented for travel to Europe at a date to be advised in 2026.

The Australian Arrival card is being trailed at the moment and will be implemented in a few months.
